He has worked in his own office independently since 1975, having executed projects in Braga, Vila do Conde, Viseu, Coimbra, Alcanena, Alcobaça, Lisbon, Almada, Oeiras, Setubal, Troia, Castro Verde, Arraiolos, Vidigueira, Lagos, Funchal, Evora, Trancoso and Lovaine/Belgium.
He founds the atelier G.B. – ARQUITECTOS, Lda., in 1991.
Participation in conferences in Portugal and abroad, having also been part of several tenders and award juries.
Founds the atelier G.B.M.M. – Associated Architects, in 1993 together with Architect Manuel Aires Mateus.
Member of the Architect Society, (nr.520), member of the Board of the Portuguese Section of the International Union of Architects and was a representative at International Meetings and Congresses of this organization. He was director of the magazine "Jornal Arquitectos".
